“Tom Clare, senior director of product marketing at Websense, said seven of the offering's 10 new features were designed to mitigate outbound data risks. ‘The biggest difference of 7.7 is providing containment services,’ Clare said. ‘The second biggest thing is its threat dashboard, which will tell you who the attacker is and how they attack.’ New features include criminal encryption detection and optical character recognition and forensic data support. The product also features spear phishing protection with cloud sandboxing, which can be used to identify suspicious links in emails. Once recipients click on the URL, Websense analyses the website content and browser code in real time to see if it is safe. ‘The Websense solutions are affordable to spend. Many of our customers said they saved hundreds of thousands of pounds using Websense on an annual basis,’ he said.”
