LiveUpdate Fails Error 404

[Fri Aug  7 18:37:39 2009] LiveUpdate: Current Database Version is 1705.

[Fri Aug  7 18:42:48 2009] LiveUpdate: Error 404 occurred when trying to connect to 'st4update.surfcontrol.com'

[Fri Aug  7 18:42:48 2009] LiveUpdate: Discarding updated CDB file as its version seems to be earlier or equal to the existing file.

[Fri Aug  7 18:42:48 2009] Ending LiveUpdate procedure.

 

Newly re-installed SurfControl is not updating.  Has the update site changed??

Hi John,

These info may help:

Check if the update runs oK manually using the “run item” button in the scheduler,

1.If manually run it successful but the Auto update failed may because of the user account assigned to the scheduler service, the account may not have the permission to visit internet.

So you need to login to the server with the account assigned to the scheduler service and config the account in order to visist internet. (config the browser and verify the internet access)

2.If both manual and scheduled updates fail:
