I habe just updated my setup to 7.6 and then added the Real Time Monitor Component. Its showing in the menu and when i click on it it opens in the right hand pane of the browser, but nothing shows in it. Despite the fact that investigative reporting is showing activity happeing that Real Time Monitor should be picking up.

Any suggestions ?

Please search "Fatal Error" from the \bin\Websens.log file.

- Press F5 to refresh the Real-Time Monitor page within the browser. It may take up to 2 minutes for data to begin refreshing again.
- If pressing F5 does not work, close the Real-Time Monitor window, log on to TRITON - Web Security, and then launch Real-Time Monitor again.
- Use a supported version of Mozilla Firefox (3.x or 4) to access Real-Time Monitor.

When installing Real-Time Monitor, Usage Monitor must already be installed.

Best regards

Hi,

I have same problem.

I have not found "Fatal error" in websense.log file. I use Firefox 4 to access RTM.

In RTM windows I have message "Waiting for data ..."

I hope for your help.

Try the directions in this article: https://www.websense.com/support/article/kbarticle/Real-Time-Monitor-not-running-error-displayed

We had to delete the .p12 certificates on a brand new 7.6.2 installation to get the RTM working.

We did all the steps described at the link that you provided but the RTM still stays at "waiting for data" status. That did happen when the 7.6 version upgraded to version 7.7.

I have 7.7.3 and Real Time Monitor, whilst not displaying any errors, was simply displaying nothing.  It was the Windows Firewall on the management server!

Hi Dcataldo,

Thank you for your post!  Are you receiving any error messages?  Are your appliances running in policy-lite mode meaning are  they are running in multiple policy server environment, or just filtering mode? We have couple of knowledge base articles regarding this issue.
