At present, new clients can only be added to the Super Administrator role, then passed on to Delegated Roles for policy application.
When moving the new client to the role, the Default Policy is also copied across to the role. Our roles are well established, and any required policies are all ready there. Each time we add a new client, we then need to dog through the Category and Protocol filters to remove "Copy of Default".
As you have the option to copy all policies from Super Administrator when creating a new role, it stands to reason that you'd have copied the policy at that time if you wanted it.
Please do something to stop the default Super Admin policies and filters when adding new clients, it is unlikely anyone will want to do this if they already have a mature policy set in their delegated roles.
Thanks!
Hi
Thank you for inquiring about a new feature in Websense Web Security. Your request (FR201202-4337) has been entered into our Feature Request tracking system, and our Product Management team will review it within the next 30 days. If you need a response sooner, we recommend that you open a case with Technical Support. Please note that Websense receives a high volume of feature requests, and as such Websense cannot include all of these requests in the next product release. That said, the product team is constantly revisiting the list of requests to determine the features that have been most frequently requested, so that the highest priority features are addressed. We look forward to your continued participation in the Websense community and welcome your active involvement in our product direction.Thank you.
