I am currently running websense webfilter v7.5 integrated with ISA 2006. Everything is running on this box. It is running very poorly and I need to now restructure this design. In doing so, I'd like to upgrade to Microsoft TMG as my proxy, and remove the websense components from this proxy server.

I have some new hardware but I am unsure of what the exact recommended resources are. I just renewed my 1200 user subscription license for v7.6. I'd like to run SQL 2008 express on box because I do not have a dedicated SQL server. Does anyone know of a document that lists resource recommendations for 1200 users max? I also need to know exactly what components get installed on what hardware. Thanks.

Hi,

The deployment and installation centre almost covers enough for the new installation of 7.6. Here is the link:

Tarell--

If possible, I'd suggest not using TMG from personal trials.  Performance hit is fairly noticeable w/ tmg clustering you may want to consider a more HA solution, like a hw load balancer of some sort.

F5 or A10 to perform cache redirect.
