We are blocking streaming media but I have had several requests to allow specific channels or specific videos from YouTube for our users to view.  Has anyone else been able to allow videos without opening up all of YouTube to their users in Hosted Web Security?

I haven't found a way to permit access to specific you tube channels while blocking everything else on youtube. You can grant access to specific videos, though. It's cumbersome... you have to create a custom category, assign a disposition of ALLOW and specifically add the URLs for the videos of interest to the custom category.

There are a few categories "viral video", 'entertainment video", and "educational video" that are targeted mainly at very popular youtube content (though there are not strictly limited to youtube content, it seems to be the majority of it...) that you can either selectively allow or block, but they don't seem to fit into you scenario.

I'd suggest you speak with the cloud security project manager (ask your account manager to put you in contact).I would *love*to have the ability to selectively permit access to content in specific youtube channels as well.
