I would like to see a temporary website access tool added to the Web Security side of Websense. I have had many different situations where I need to allow a website, such as a file transfer website to be opened for one user, but not permanently. While there are more laborious ways to do this, it would be nice to have a quick tool to go to in order to open a website for a chosen amount of time, then have it revert back after that amount of time.
A feature request has already been submitted to our development team and now this feature is under consideration. Feature request ID FR201107-3407.
I second it. With our previous tool we could select a site and apply a time period to a particular user or group. So I could allow that person to retrieve files for a day or as little as an hour. I work for a bank and people love to send us their tax files by sticking them on Dropbox. <sigh> Obviously we block file sharing sites by default.
I would find this feature helpful as well.
I would also like to see this feature. Has there been any update to this request?
