I have seen the posted before but no answer was given. How do you configure the V10k so that I can use Filezilla. I have allowed the correct ports on both the V10k appliance and the FW. I have configured the Filezilla client to use the appliance. The connection is being made then I get the following error:
Response: Proxy Reply: HTTP/1.1 403 Tunnel or SSL Forbidden
Anyone know what I need to do to get this working as at teh moment we have to set up FTP to bypass the appliance and go straight out via the FW, which is unacceptable.
Thanks,
Filezilla will use the proxy's p1 interface ip and port 2121 to proxy out.

that's how I have it configured and it doesn't work. Filezilla connects but the appliance rejects the connection. I've had support doing a remote session for an hour and they've had to pass it on to 2nd line.
Did anything come of this as im having the same issue.
go to edit\settings\ftp proxy\
select custom & enter the following 2 lines
USER %u@%hPASS %p
also enter proxy address, username & password
it doesn't work for dynamic FTP though. So we've had mixed success
Cheers, given that a go but just get the following :
Status: Using proxy **.**.**.**:** (Our proxy address)
Status: Connecting to **.**.**.**:** (Our proxy address)
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry... Was this the kind of error you would get when not working ?

yes that is the error we still get for dynamic FTP. Passive FTP sites work fine. So we've got a mixed bag for asolutioon, some FTP connections via Websense others we still have to allow a direct connection through the firewall.
I had several webex sessions with Websense engineers but they still couldn't get it to work with dynamic FTP sites.
give me an example of a dynamic ftp site and I'll start researching it.
The site im trying to FTP to is hlm.ftpstream.com. Obviously i cant post the username and password here. If i try to navigate through windows explorer it will forward me to read only through IE as it states the proxy isnt configured correcly.
do you have a case number then for this specific ftp site?
