The certificate in WES 7.2 HF8 expired so I went in to the console and used the Certificate Manager to replace it. Originally had a self-signed cert. When I replaced it, I am now getting these errors:
ERROR: -1 Certificate error: could not obtain private key crypto context error code -2146885621
ERROR: -1 ESMTP TLS support is disabled due to error
I tried removing and replacing the certificate, even disabled all secure communications in the configuration tool, but still getting errors. I even requested and installed a certificate from our internal root CA, and then re-installed a self-signed certificate twice. Still giving the error. I need to get encryption working again. Any thoughts?
What was the Domain or Windows user account that was used to login to Windows at the time the certificate was created? And is this the same user account as the LogOn account for the services now?
You need to run the services (Receive and Send) as the same account you was logged in as when you created the Self-Signed Certificate.
1.local user account.
Or 2.local administrator account.
Or 3.domain administrator account
Logged in as the service account and changed the certificate. That worked. Thanks!
