Does anyone have any ideas on how to block the google talk client?  I've tried blocking access to talk.google.com, talk.l.google.com, etc.  Also port 5222 (but can't block 443 for obvious reasons).  I've also tried various ip's, but then www.google.com gets blocked.

Their solution (here:  http://www.google.com/support/talk/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61966)  doesn't work!

It seems that no matter what I've tried, the client still manages to get out.   Any ideas?

Hi Taylor,

The only things I see in real-time monitor are the following:

mail.google.com
iad04s01-in-f147.1e100.net
filetransferenabled.mail.google.com

Using TCPView to monitor connections from my test machine and saw connections to this:

yo-in-f147.1e100.net:https
iad04s01-in-f19.1e100.net:http
gx-in-f125.1e100.net:5222
gx-in-f125.1e100.net:https
iad04s01-in-f189.1e100.net:http

It appears that those destinations change though.  Any ideas?
